When and where to watch Valencia CF – Real Betis live
Match corresponding to Matchday 12 of LALIGA EA SPORTS 2025-26
Maxi Gómez is making the most of the unexpected pause in the LaLiga calendar to continue his recovery from injury, and is now in the final stage of the process. The Uruguayan was operated on to treat a fracture to the fifth metatarsal of his left foot on March 3rd, and has been dilligently performing his rehabilitation exercises since then.
Five weeks on from the procedure, he continues to train at home whilst liaising with the VCF Medical Department. Gómez has discarded his protective brace, and has been running, doing balance exercises and strengthening the injured area.
The striker is feeling good, and is hoping to be able to kick a ball around soon. Just like all of his teammates, he is pending the resumption of training at the Ciudad Deportiva in order to get back to match fitness for whenever the competition gets back underway.
